Hey guys,

Here is a simple recipe that can you take as a snack to work or school.

Makes: 28 cookies

Ingredients:

175g of self-raising flour
75g of porridge oats
175g of caster sugar
1 tsp of bicarbonate of soda
1 tsp of baking powder
175g of butter
2 tbsp of golden syrup

1. Preheat the oven to 180C/Gas 4. Then line/ grease two large baking trays.

2. In a medium pan melt the butter and the golden syrup. Stir until combined.

3. In a mixing bowl put the self-raising flour, porridge oats, sugar bicarbonate of soda and baking powder. Then add the melted butter and golden syrup and combine. You may have to use your hands as it will become a sticky dough.

4. Turn out the bowl on the work surface and divide into roughly 28 balls of dough and place on the baking trays with room between them. Press the tops to flatten them slightly.

5. Bake for around 12-15 mins or until golden brown. Then remove from the oven and put on a cooling rack.

Hope you liked this simple but yummy treat that can keep for up to 2 weeks in a sealed container. If you want you can drizzle on some melted chocolate.

Xx.
