Choclate Pots- Low Calories

Hey guys,

We are going to be doing a series of healthy bakes that will be low calorie but still full of flavour. All these recipes will be below 150 calories.

Double Chocolate Pots

These simple but classic puddings look well presented and professional. They are low calorie for a chocolate pudding and can be served with berries to finish.  We will be using another BBC Good Food Recipe and adding a little bit of our own twist.

Prep: 15 mins + 1hr chilling

Makes: 4 of 100ml pots

Calories- 119kcal per pot (100ml)
Ingredients
  • 25g white chocolate
  • 25g of milk choclate
  • 50g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1 tbsp caster sugar
  • Variety of berries (blueberries, rasberries)
 1.  To make the chocolate curls with the white chocolate run a peeler/ knife over the flat side of the chocolate.Once you have enough to cover around four pots then chop the 25g of white chocolate and 25g of milk chocolate. Set aside.

2. Melt the dark chocolate in a bowl over simmering water or in the microwave for 1½ minutes on a medium to low heat. Leave to cool slightly. Whisk the egg whites until stiff, then whisk in the sugar. Fold in the melted chocolate, then gently fold in the chopped milk chocolate.

3. Divide between 4 small dishes or cups, about 100ml in size.

4. Melt the 25g of the chopped white chocolate that was put aside earlier over simmering water or in the microwave for 1½ minutes. Once the chocolate is melted put the bowl in cold water to let the chocolate cool but do not let it set.

5. Once cool pour the chocolate over the mouses and leave to set for at least an 1hr.

6. Just before serving put on top some berries and sprinkle on the white chocolate curls and you are ready to serve.

I hope you liked this low calorie recipe. More coming soon.
