Snack Bars- Chocolate Fridge Cake Bars

Hey guys,

At school I have to bring in my own snack and so making your own snack bars is a really good way to save money. I love making my own snack bars so I am going to be doing a couple of different recipes over the weeks coming.

Ingredients: 

400g of unsalted butter
200ml of golden syrup
100g of cocoa powder
800g of digestive biscuits
200g of raisins

Method:

1. Put the butter, golden syrup and cocoa powder into a pan over a medium heat. Mix together until it is all combined.

2. Put the biscuit chunks and raisins into a large bowl and pour the chocolate mixture in. Mix till everything is well combined and then press the mixture into a baking tray and then flatten down with a spoon.

3. Leave to cool completely and then refrigerate for a couple of hours. Then use a knife to cut the big chocolate fridge cake into bars. Then you can store in a tin and wrap in clingfilm to bring as a snack.
