Simple Shortcrust Pastry

Hi guys,

I don't know why I haven't done this recipe sooner. This is just one of the basic recipes that I think is an essential.

Ingredients:

225g of plain flour
100g of butter, diced
pinch of salt

Method:

1. Sift the flour into a large bowl and then rub into the flour until the mixture looks like bread crumbs.

2. Stir in the salt and then add in 2-3 tbsp of water into the mixture until it is a firm dough. Get all the bits from the side of the bowl.

3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and then wrap in clingfilm. Put in the fridge to chill until needed.

Hope you find the simple recipes helpful and please comment any recipes that you want to see. Sorry that our Instagram hasn't been that active recently.

Xx.
