Here is a simple margarita pizza. You can add any toppings to it if you would like but it is just as good classic. Makes one pizza.
Ingredients:
olive oil, for the tray
200g of plain flour
7g packet of dried yeast
1 tsp of sugar
125ml of warm water
85ml of passata (tomato paste)
100g of mozzarella half grated, half chopped
2 tbsp of parmesan
small bunch of basil, chopped but leave some for serving
Method:
1. Heat the oven to 240C/220C fan/ gas 9. Oil a baking tray that is roughly 20 x 24 cm. Mix the flour, yeast, 1/4 tsp of salt and sugar in a bowl. Then stir in the water and knead to a dough. Spread out on the oil tray to make a base. You can have it as thick or as thin as you want.
2. Spread the passata evenly over the base, leaving a little bit of room from the edge for the crust. If you would like add a bit of salt and pepper to season the passata. Then sprinkle the chopped basil and the parmesan evenly over the top.
3. Then pop in the oven for 15- 20 mins or until evenly baked. Remember not to check just the edges but underneath. Then take out of the oven sprinkle on the remaining basil and serve with a side salad.
