Flapjacks- Feelgood Food

Hey guys,

Thank you for all the support that we have had on this blog. Today's recipe is going to be  a yummy flapjack recipe that has been recommended by a friend. We have changed little bits to suit ourselves but you can change what you want so that you like it.

Ingredients:

50g of unsalted butter
2 tbsp of smooth peanut butter
3 tbsp of honey or maple syrup
2 ripe bananas, mashed                                      
1 apple peeled and grated
250g of rolled oats
85g of apricots, diced
100g of raisins
85g of mixed seeds (pumpkin and sunflower are good)

Method 

1. Preheat the oven to 160C/ 140C fan/ gas 3. Grease and line a 20cm square tin with baking parchment. Heat the butter, peanut butter and honey in a pan until it is all combined. Add in the banana, 100ml of hot water and the grated apple.

2. Tip in the rolled oats, apricots, raisins and mixed seeds into a bowl and add in the apple and banana mixture. Mix well and then pour into the lined tin. Bake for 55 mins then leave to cool and cut into squares.
